Elm
Storage Bench
ORIGIN
Planted nearly a century ago near the Snake River canyon’s ridge, the Elm represents an inherent respect for time.
Scott happened upon the lone tree, standing in midst of a housing development construction site. Struck by its beauty and knowing nothing more than its impending fate, Scott called the number on the realtor’s sign and was given permission to harvest the mighty Elm.
CHARACTER
Elm is a fast growing, taupe-colored hardwood with straight grains and small bird’s eye knots. It’s composition allowed it to withstand the harsh winters and dry summers of central Idaho while standing tall, strong and straight.
CRAFT
With keen attention to detail, Scott and his team book matched and grain matched to create consistent patterning across each face.
